Leave it to Chris Grant to destroy his life by trying to pretend to be a hero on the day that people were murdered in El Paso, Texas. Chris was arrested by the Secret Service before the award ceremony was about to start for his bravery.
The problem was that his story was full of holes. He was arrested for a criminal warrant. His story was so full of holes that he has become an embarrassment to everyone who knows him.
The ceremony was in place to honor the real heroes of that horrible day. The police received medals of honor for their service and now law enforcement personal were awarded certificates for their bravery.
Each one of their stories was told which only gave hope to those that listened. When it came time to hear Chris’ story it was very moving. The problem is that his story is not what was seen on video.
Chris has a long history of crime and also sometimes he spent behind bars. He was arrested on an account of the warrant, but he had to be released as one Secret Service agent put it that “It was subsequently determined that while the arrest warrant was still active, the agency that issued the warrant would not extradite, at which time the individual was released from Secret Service custody.”
Chris lied about what happened in Walmart when he came in contact with the shooter. His account of what happened was that he start throwing pop bottles at the shooter to get him to shoot at him. Which the shooter did.
Chris was shot but not in the way that he has told officials. President Trump told the story like this that he received from Chris “Chris grabbed — listen to this — soda bottles and anything else in front of him, and began hurling them at the gunman, distracting him from the other shoppers and causing the shooter to turn toward Chris and fire at Chris, whereby Chris suffered two serious gunshot wounds. But he is recovering well, and we wish him the best. His family is here. So please thank Chris for us, please.”
Chris lied to the president and provided the nation with a false report of what he did that day. Police Sgt. Enrique Carrillo has another version that is verified by the video of what Chris did that day.
He stated that “It’s just that what he said is not truthful. We saw his actions (on store surveillance video) and it’s not like he described. We’ve never had anything like this happen, never had a victim’s report so skewed from what happened.”
The video goes on to show that Chris was just trying to survive the incident, and he was not trying to get the shooter’s attention so other people could escape the police have stated. He was trying to preserve his own life.
Nothing more. He is no hero and lied about what he was trying to do because that is what he does. He is a liar. His track record of life shows that he robs people and tries to evade the police and lies about his actions. He is a man that cannot be trusted.
What is incredible is that he was able to get close to the president with this kind of criminal record. The police of El Paso were never spoken to check the history of this man.
What the video shows are a man that was running for his own life. He did not try to protect others on his way out of the store. He wanted to flee. His words are not matching up to what he stated to the police.
Chris got shot which is a tragedy but what is even worse is that he lied about what he was trying to do. He was trying to make everyone believe that he was a hero when in truth he was just trying to save his skin. In order to prove their case, the police of El Paso need to release the video and show what really happened that horrible day.
