After the accusations of Hunter Biden and his father, Joe Biden, was made known to the world of illegal business practices between Ukraine and China, Hunter was nowhere to be found.
This week he came forward with an interview on ABC News with Amy Robach, defending his ventures and admitting he made poor judgments by staining his father’s campaign. He says he did not foresee all that would unravel and says it was a “political mistake.”
Hunter Biden told ABC News, “In retrospect, look, I think that it was poor judgment on my part. Is that I think that it was poor judgment because I don’t believe now when I look back on it, I know that there was, did nothing wrong at all. However, was it poor judgment to be in the middle of something that is…a swamp in, in, in many ways? Yeah.”
Hunter continued, “I gave a hook to some very unethical people to act in illegal ways to try to do some harm to my father. That’s where I made the mistake. So I take full responsibility for that. Did I do anything improper? No, not in any way. Not in any way whatsoever.”
There was no subject Robach did not touch. She questioned Hunter on his professional and personal life when it came to his addictions. Robach asked him what he thought of President Trump’s question, “WHERE’S HUNTER?” Biden responded, “I’m here. I’m here, and I’m working, and I’m living my life. Hiding in plain sight, I guess.”
Hunter explained his reasoning on the Ukraine scandal in hopes of redeeming himself. The question is, was it to redeem himself or his father? He stated, “Did I make a mistake? Well, maybe in the grand scheme of things, yeah. But did I make a mistake based upon some ethical lapse? Absolutely not.”
Biden continued, “I take–full responsibility for that. Do I–did I do anything improper? No, and not in any way. Not in any way whatsoever. I joined a board, I served honorably. I did–I focused on corporate governance. I didn’t have any discussions with my father before or after I joined the board as it related to it, other than that brief exchange that we had.”
Biden said he does not regret the business ventures he had overseas, but wished he could tell the future as his mistakes overshadow his father’s campaign. He said, “What I regret is not taking into account that there would be a Rudy Giuliani and a president of the United States that would be listening to this–this ridiculous conspiracy idea.” It sounds like he was more concerned he got caught in the conspiracy.
Hunter was asked his thought on the phone call conversation between President Trump and President Zelensky, to which he responded, “Like every other American–I was shocked.” He then ran crying to “daddy” once the transcript was released.
Former Vice President Joe Biden asked about his grandaughter before going into detail. Imagine that… Hunter told Robach, “For real. And that’s not a joke. I mean, and then the discussion was literally like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ But other than that, really, I want to make it clear, it’s not like anybody has to have any discussion beyond that.”
Biden continued to reiterate how he never discussed anything with his father on foreign business and how he does not want to become a ping pong ball in the depositions for the impeachment inquiries.
He stated, “I’ll let Congress handle that. And I’ll let you guys in the media handle that. And I’ll let my dad’s campaign handle that. And the only thing that I’m looking to handle is to make certain that I get up every day and do the next right thing. And that really is the way that I’ve been trying to live my life.”
Hunter Biden explained how he is a private citizen now and does not want to get caught up in all that is going on. He contradicted himself when he stated if his dad were to win, he recognized the position.
He said, “You’ve got to live in the connections that you have to healthy things. And I have so many of them. And I’ve got to live there instead of living I fear, like, ‘Oh my God, the stress is going to make me drink, or the stress is going to make me use.'” Hunter has nothing to worry about because we all know “Sleepy” Joe will not win.
