Drew Brees, the quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, is a Christian. He recently shared a video from BringYourBible.org.
He shared one of his favorite verses in the bible and encouraged kids to live out their faith and bring their bible to school on “Bring Your Bible to School Day.” It’s a way for kids to share God’s love with friends, ensuring them that they’re not alone.
At no point in the video did he call people out for not bringing Bibles. At no point did he tell people that he had to convert anyone to a religion that they didn’t want to be a part of. The message was clearly intended for Christians and no one else.
Since we live in a world where people get easily offended now, LGBTQ activists have been viciously attacking him for supporting the “Bring Your Bible to School Day.”
The organization behind bringing the bible to school is a religious group known as “Focus on the Family.” They are well-funded and known to be anti-LGBT.
According to some, the organization uses a combination of emotionally manipulative, shaming, and somatic stimuli as a way of “curing” people of their sexual orientation within the LGBTQ+ community. Approximately 700,000 LGBTQ+ people have been exposed to conversion therapy despite the American Psychiatric Association discrediting the practice.
There is a constant double standard in the politically correct world that we live in. Gay activists are able to hate on Christians. They are able to hate on bakeries that don’t make them gay wedding cakes.
They hold parades and expect everyone to celebrate their lifestyle. However, Christians are not allowed to believe in the Bible or in God. Any time someone does, the gay activists get upset. Suddenly, everyone’s beliefs are not accepted unless it belongs to them.
Drew Brees did nothing wrong. Anyone who knows the quarterback knows that he is Christian. He is proud of his faith.
He’s also heavily into philanthropy, focusing on anti-bullying. He has wholesome Christian values, yet he received a significant amount of vile backlash from the “tolerant” liberals who are obviously godless.
The good news is that there are plenty of patriotic Christian Americans who support Brees and what he has done. According to Laura Ingrid Hamm, Fox News host, New Orleans Saints fans will be bringing their Bibles to the next Saints home game as a way of standing with Drew Brees in solidarity.
The full #WhoDatNation is planning on bringing their Bibles to the game.
What the LGBTQ activists fail to see about Drew Brees is that the video was shared on the “Focus on the Family” Facebook page.
This means that the only people who would have seen it are those who follow the page – other Christians. Brees was encouraging those who already love God to share their love of God with their friends.
It’s a harmless, beautiful act so that kids can share their favorite verses. It’s no different than kids who would be encouraged to bring their favorite book or comic to class.
Activists want to make a big deal out of it simply because it doesn’t line up with their lifestyle. Brees wasn’t condemning them. However, they have decided to show such vicious hate that displays that they are not tolerant of anyone who doesn’t support their lifestyle. For LGBTQ+ groups that want to say, “love is love” is clearly focusing solely on gender. They don’t have a love for Christians.
Some of the activists may want to stay clear of the LGBTQ individuals who do go to church, as there are plenty of gay individuals who are Christians. No one sin is greater than any other sin, though the gay activists currently bashing Brees don’t want to hear any of that. They’re right and Brees and the rest of the Christian community is wrong.
This kind of backward intolerance is what’s tearing the country apart. Dems are constantly allowing the double standard, too. Why is it okay for the LGBTQ+ community to bully when no one else can? Why is it okay for the LGBTQ+ community to hold parades and ask to be celebrated while Christians must constantly keep their mouths shut?
The double standard has to end. Meanwhile, plenty of people have shown that they will not be silenced. The #WhoDatNation will be bringing their Bibles to the Saints game, showing that they agree with Brees.
It’s the right thing to do, and it’s nice to see that at least some Americans still have wholesome Christian values to hold onto.
